THE LEGEND OF TSEWA

DIRECTED by: Jean-Luc GUIDOIN The legend of Tsewa tells the criss-crossed stories of two passionate defenders of the Amazon forest: the shaman Tayta, keeper of ancestral traditions and Helene Collongues, founder of a rehabilitation center for monkeys, victims of poachers and trafficking.
Tayta will lead a group of children deep into the forest in search of the last atele monkeys who have escaped the grasp of humans. The legends say that only those who are pure of heart are able to see them…
Helene for her part will attempt a world first: to release a clan of ateles back to their native forest. From their rescue all the way to their rendezvous with freedom, each step will be rich with uncertainties, twists and turns, as well as funny or moving moments.
Will they be ready to return to the forest from which they were stolen?
A warning cry but also a cry of hope, from deep within the forest of mirrors.

But must one turn towards normal conventions to be accepted? After encountering these new families, it would be unfair to say that homosexuals simply reproduce the dominant, pre-existing heterosexual family schema. They redesign it in their own fashion and thus give us a glimpse into a bit of the world of tomorrow. |
