LE SOUFFLE DU GUÉPARD
THE BREATH OF THE CHEETAH

52' Documentary in 4K

DIRECTED by: Laurent FRAPAT

The film unveils the destiny of Mara, one of the last female cheetahs living in East Africa. Her story is that of a courageous mother who puts all her energy into raising her cubs.

Living in a permanent state of emergency, always on the alert, Mara has no other choice but to live in a frenzied rush.

Unfortunately, you can be perfectly built for racing and belong to a breathless species!

In the Last century, the planet counted 100,000 individuals. Nowadays, there are only 7,000 cheetahs left. The species is now steadily declining.

Some sequences, like the breathtaking wild chases, the perilous confrontations with rival predators or the tender scenes of the daily life of this devoted mother, will be filmed in slow motion and will show us the grace of the fastest animal on the planet.

These spectacular images will reveal what our eyes don’t usually have time to appreciate.

CRÈCHES SAUVAGES
NURSERIES IN THE WILD

Every year, in the secret of our countryside, numerous wild babies are born.

Deep in their burrow, four fox cubs, still blind and deaf, are searching for their mother’s teat for milk.

A little further away in an abandoned dovecote, featherless owlets are coming out of their shells. They have only one thing in mind: to swallow the pieces of vole meat offered by their mother.

In the nearby prairie, hidden in a thicket, eight little wild piglets are writhing around. Born under the stars, the little gluttons are already extremely alert and frisky.

Holed up below the ground, safely away from predators, eight tiny rabbit kittens are enjoying being groomed by their mother for the first time.

From early spring to late summer, we will peer into the intimacy of these frail and vulnerable little balls of fur and feathers. We will follow their first steps and share all of their parents’ moments of stress and tenderness, because nature’s school of life is fraught with obstacles and dangers.
